There was a major flaw in the AMD Radeon GPUs included with that model year's logic board which seemed to cause GPU failure either due to overheating, internal chip problems, BGA solder joints getting broken, or a combination of the above. The 2011 MacBook Pro has, for almost a decade, been the exception to that rule. This is because the Boot Camp Support Software probably contains drivers that require Windows to BIOS boot.I've been a Mac user for years, and I've repaired hundreds of different Macs, from the early II series to the latest 20 model MacBook Pros, iMacs (and other Apple hardware to boot!), and there is almost never a hardware situation where I've thrown in the towel and told someone to ditch their Mac. However, even though you have EFI booted the installer, you still will need to install Windows 10 to BIOS boot. If you succeed in booting the Windows installer from a flash drive, then you will have used an EFI boot method. You can not BIOS boot from a flash drive. You can get the latest firmware by having the latest version of High Sierra installed. Currently, with would be the October 2018 update. If you have latest firmware installed, then you might be able to use a flash drive to install the latest Windows 10. Also, you should use the optical (DVD) drive to install Windows. This is where Windows uses the MBR partition table and macOS uses the GUID partition table (GPT). This means the drive will have to be hybrid partitioned. You probably will need to install Windows to legacy BIOS boot. With later versions of macOS, the Boot Camp Assistant can be used to download the software.
